As a Civic University, we are committed to solving societal problems and transforming the lives of the community and its students. Each year we hold charity events to raise funds that are distributed through two separate streams – our University Charity, The Horizon Fund and the external charity of choice.
Who is the external charity?
This year our external charity is Alice Charity. Founded in 2011 in response to the lack of available support for disadvantaged local families, the Alice Charity provides vulnerable families with emotional and practical support - helping to move families in crisis forward. The charity also works to encourage and empower local people to volunteer and embrace other opportunities in employment and education.
